===== Biography =====

SYMO, also known as James SYMO, is a DJ, producer, and label manager at Imprint based in Cape Town, South Africa. Celebrated for his electrifying performances and innovative soundscapes, SYMO masterfully blends dark, dirty, bouncy, and psychedelic elements into his sets. His musical journey began at age six with piano and other instruments, evolving into a fascination with production and DJing. After moving to Cape Town in 2020, SYMO reignited his DJ career post-COVID in late 2022 and has since become a dynamic presence in the underground scene. SYMO's versatility sees him exploring techno, psytech, dark minimal, downtempo, tech house, and progressive trance. With releases on respected labels including Imprint, AlpaKa Muzik, Subios Records, OMTECH, BeatCode, and Lucid Kat Recordings, he continues to push sonic boundaries with hypnotic rhythms, rolling basslines, and deep driving intensity.
