===== Biography =====  

Timmy Byrne is a Melbourne-based DJ, radio host, and founder of Kiss FM Australia, with over 30 years of experience shaping the country’s underground dance music scene【^1】.  

He began his career as resident DJ at seminal Melbourne venues including The Underground, Redhead, and Saratoga, before expanding into festival programming and radio broadcasting【^1】. Byrne was instrumental in launching *Kiss My Grass*, a nationally celebrated all-Australian electronic music festival, curating over 60 DJs and 15 live acts annually for five years【^1】.  

In 2003, Byrne travelled to Kabul to help establish Arman FM, Afghanistan’s first commercial radio station post-Taliban, which went on to become the country’s most listened-to station【^1】.  

As station manager and music director of Kiss FM, Byrne has built a listener-supported institution that reaches over 99,000 weekly FM listeners in Melbourne and 30,000 online streams across 150 countries【^5】. His flagship show *The Beautiful Drive* airs Tuesday to Friday, featuring interviews and guest mixes from artists like Carl Cox, Boy George, NERVO, Nile Rodgers, Frankie Knuckles, and Honey Dijon【^4】.
