Solid Professor, also known by his Russian alias Капитан Солид (Kapitan Solid / Captain Solid), is a DJ, music enthusiast, and label founder based in Canberra, Australia, with Russian heritage.

With a passion for electronic dance music spanning over 20 years, he is the founder of Soliq Records, a psytech-inspired and influenced record label specializing in cutting-edge genre-bending psychedelic electronic dance music. Solid Professor is also a resident DJ at Deep Space Entertainment and primarily plays minimal techno, bush techno, and psychedelic techno.

After returning to the music scene following a lengthy break, he has become an active and dedicated contributor to the underground music community, playing at various bush doofs, festivals, club events, and underground parties across Australia. Beyond DJing, Solid Professor runs a music channel on YouTube called “SOLID Professor Music,” hosts the “Prog Is Bullshit” music podcast, interviews artists, films multi-cam DJ sets and performances at various locations, and produces video reports from events.

He also DJs under the alias Liquid Professor, focusing on downtempo and midtempo psychedelic electronic music, particularly psychill, psydub, psybass, psybreaks, and trip-hop. In 2025, he founded Bush Kulture, an arts, music, and entertainment collective promoting and supporting underground electronic music artists and the local scene.

Solid Professor is the founder of Soliq Records and Bush Kulture collective.
