Unknown Concept is the alias of Paddy Carroll, a Melbourne-based producer and DJ whose sound blends progressive psychedelia, minimal techno, and dark atmospheric textures. Originally a drummer in metal bands, he transitioned to electronic music in 2015, finding resonance in the deeper shades of techno. His productions span groove-based progressive to driving four-on-the-floor rhythms.

A resident of SixthSense Australia, Paddy has performed at festivals and venues across Europe, Asia, North America, and Oceania — including Berlin’s Sisyphos and Birgit, Montreal’s Groove & Bass, and Victoria’s Esoteric Festival. His releases appear on labels such as Techgnosis Records, Digital Diamonds, Alula Tunes, Recovery Collective, Alpaka Muzik, and Euphorie Bezirk.
