Carbon (real name Riewert Petersen) is a peaktime techno producer and DJ known for his dark, driving sound and high-energy performances.

Since launching his career in 2016, he has carved out a distinct sonic identity rooted in acid, industrial, and minimal techno influences. His sets are engineered to ignite dancefloors, whether opening for global heavyweights or closing out underground raves with relentless momentum.

Carbon first gained traction through a series of exclusive private parties that became cult favorites in the European techno circuit. These early successes propelled him into larger venues and festivals, where he quickly built a reputation for precision mixing and immersive sound design. His performances have spanned cities like Lisbon, Troyes, Geneva, Lausanne, and Neuchâtel, with standout appearances at Technolake 2023 and 2024.

He’s shared stages with artists such as Space 92, Umek, Cosmic Boys, Spartaque, and Zafer Atabey, and continues to expand his reach with upcoming shows in Berlin and Amsterdam. In August 2025, Carbon released his debut EP on Uruguay’s Underground Records, marking a bold step into international recognition. His catalog now includes collaborations with Flanko, Crescendoll, Lampé, and Clap Codex, and his tracks regularly chart on Beatport and SoundCloud.

Carbon’s mission is to push the boundaries of techno while remaining deeply connected to the underground ethos. With a growing global fanbase and a steady stream of releases, he’s positioning himself as a driving force in the next wave of electronic music.
